Weekend catechism will only resume after all the Chinese New Year.

Sun 8 January 2012, 6pm Mass Catechetical Sunday and Feast of the Epiphany. Theme for Catechetical Sunday 2012 is "Do This in Memory of me." (Lk 22:19).

The theme draws its inspiration from the promulgation of the 3rd edition of the Roman Missal. We want to affirm that all of our catechetical efforts must lead the faithful `to that full conscious and active participation in liturgical celebrations`.

Please do read the letter, reflect on it and prepare your hearts for the Commissioning Mass. During the Mass, Fr Philip Heng,SJ (Parish Priest) invites all Catechists, Facilitators, Coordinators,  Leading Little Ones to Church, Liturgy of the Word for Children, CGS, CCD and those involved in Catechetic to come forward . Please respond with gusto  accordingly.

WEEKEND CATECHISM REGISTRATION FOR 2012

1 Nov till 30 Nov 2011 REGISTRATION for children/youth wishing to join our program from 2012. (PRIMARY 1 and OTHER LEVELS).

This catechism program is mainly for baptized children/youth who are parishioners of St Ignatius and who are studying in the local school system. Children in other school systems within our boundaries and Non-baptised children/youth may make enquiries too and we will guide as best as possible.

Children/youth in our current program DO NOT NEED TO re-register at this exercise. However, current youth moving to Sec 1 in 2012 and Sec 3 2012, do look out for other notices in Dec 2011.

If you are unable to do so, please submit the completed form and copy of the baptism certificate in an envelope marked  ‘Weekend Catechism Registration 2012’ to the Main Church Office.
 
All registrations must reach us by the closing date of 30 Nov 2011.  The outcome will only be emailed at end Dec 2011.

Friday 17 June (from 6.30 pm - 9.30 pm) led by FMM sisters (Sr Molly and Sr Assunta) and the organising team, in collaboration with our Weekend Catechism holiday event for families.

This will include a walk to a "secret garden", treat to a healthy snack, Eco info sharing, mini project and close with a special supper.

Note- Please bring your own cup, plate and cutlery.

Catechism Parish Event - 28 Mar 2010
8.15am Procession/Family Mass on Palm Sunday

There will be no usual catechism classes on that weekend but in-lieu of classes and in celebration of our parish dimension of being in community:

An evening of prayer for Youth and Young Adults, organised by De Vita Christi of the Church of St Ignatius. Come join us for an evening of Eucharistic Adoration, Lenten Reflection, Prayer and Praise, as we prepare ourselves for the Passion Week, by taking a step forward to having a deeper relationship with Christ, by once again welcoming
Jesus into our hearts.

Sec 3 Confirmation :   First Retreat for our Confirmation Youth

Sec 1 Parents Meeting and Welcome Ritual Mass

For Pri 1-4 classes, we have access to the rooms allocated by Maris Stella. However we do not have access to the grounds, mini zoo, toys and library shelves. Thank you for reminding your children about this.

As the canteen is not operational, parents of children on the Sunday programme, please provide them with some packed breakfast before class

A simple transport survey is underway for parents (of Pri1-4) who may need buses to Maris Stella after Chinese New Year. If you have not received a hardcopy survey and are interested, you may download the Survey Form from the church website www.stignatius.org.sg from 23 Jan-early Feb  and submit as per instructions in the Survey Form.
