Confraternity of Christian Doctrine
CCD is a faith formation program for Catholic children, aged 5 ½ to 14 years old in international schools.

CCD runs from September to May catering for international students.  CCD classes are offered on either Tuesdays or Thursdays.

CCD is run entirely by the support of volunteers.  If you have a calling to serve in this ministry as a teacher, assistant teacher, bus coordinator, office angel, snack coordinator or substitute teacher, please see CCD Volunteers on our website.

First Holy Communion
Each child's journey to becoming a stronger believer begins with their parents' active participation in their faith formation.  The CCD team hopes to work with parents and students in making this journey a spiritually fulfilling one and bringing our children into a closer relationship with God, through learning the teachings of Jesus Christ and his Church. We look forward to having your children in the program and our combined effort in faith formation.

Online Registration: Cut-Off Date for FHC
Online Registration is based on the Date of Birth and availability of class.  Note that cut-off date is September 1st. For example: the child has to be 7 yrs old before September 1st to be eligible for Grade 2 - the First Holy Communion class.

FHC Requirement: Sacrament of Baptism
For First Holy Communion classes, children must be baptized before December in order to participate in the preparation for the sacraments.  Please contact Church office (email: church@stignatius.org.sg) to arrange for your child’s baptism.

Special First Holy Communion (SHC) Class
Children aged 8 to 10 yrs (CCD Grades G3, G4, G5) but have not received their first Holy Communion, will be assigned to a Special First Holy Communion (SHC) class to prepare them for this Sacrament.

Upper Special First Holy Communion (USHC) Class
Children aged 11 to 12 yrs (CCD Grades G6, G7) but have not received their first Holy Communion, will be assigned to a Upper Special First Holy Communion (USHC) class to prepare them for this Sacrament.

Reminder for children in First Holy Communion classes
In order to be prepared for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion, all the following requirements must be met.

Submission of Documents and Payment

1. Online Registration Acknowledgement page
2. Baptismal Certificate
3. Payment of Course Fee of $100 (Sing $ dollars)

Payment is by cheque payable to “CHURCH OF ST IGNATIUS".
Cheque should be ‘crossed’ (draw 2 lines across the top-left hand corner) and written clearly on the back of the cheque: CCD-FHC, the name of child, cheque owner’s name and contact number.

Please refer to the GENERAL - PAYMENT CHEQUE GUIDE - for preparation and specimen of a Singapore cheque.

POST or DROP OFF – Before Deadline
Enclose the above 3 items in a sealed envelope marked:

And either POST to the church address above or DROP OFF the envelope into a box marked “CCD - FHC” at the church office.

Acknowledgement of Payment Received via Email
Enrolment in a CCD First Holy Communion class will be confirmed by email after the receipt of your child’s printed registration form, baptism certificate and class fee.

Enrolment Complete
Enrolment of children for FIRST HOLY COMMUNION is only COMPLETE AFTER ALL the above items are received.
